This morning at about 7.30 I got out of bed to go to the toilet and got excruciating pain as I tried to get up, all around my bladder area, like it was in spasm or something. I found it really difficult to stand up straight but then as soon as I'd emptied my bladder it felt fine.

I went back to bed for a bit, but the same thing happened again when I got up at 10!

Ouch!

Anyone had anything like this? :?

yes i get this too, but im lazy and dont get up out of bed and go to the loo when i feel i need to so when i eventually do go im straining my bladder. I think it indicates good pelvic floor control but im sure it could lead to a water infection. naughty naughty me *slapped wrist*

no i havent it sounds like u might hav an infection? i'd get it checked x

Am having it now, my m/w said its how the babys laying, so its affecting the way i sit and going to the loo a lot is the only way to relieve myself and get comfortable.
She did say as long as i go to the loo plenty then i will be fine, but any soreness anywhere then i have to see gp straightaway.

I have had this too. Couldn't stand up straight or sit then it went off. I first thought it was an UTI but I had had my pee tested that day and it was clear so was just put down to baby's position on my bladder.

I think thats part of the problem because when i do go theres quite alot there!

Hopefully not an infection, but not seeing MW until next Monday unless something happens first!

Hey girls,

I get this all the time - more so at night, it's like I empty my bladder, I'm fine, then all of a sudden I feel like someone's grabbed it in a vice and squeezed it hard and I need to go NOW! It's so painful - and then I go to the loo and there's just a dribble!

I spoke to the midwife about it today - she checked my wee and it's not an infection, she reckons it's just the way the baby is lying and the weight of the baby.

Only 7.5 weeks to go!

My bladder seems to have a mind of it's own lately. I had my wee checked but I still need to go with alarming regularity

I get strange pains when I need to go which may be the same as you're experiencing

One thing I could do without is what I described to my midwife as 'double bladder' problem. I'll go to the loo, wee then just as I am starting to stand up I need to go again and a load more comes out! I have suffered from many UTIs in the past and I feel I know the signs, and that isn't one of them. Totally has me confused. The midwife said it will be how the baby is lying and squashing the bladder, then when I move, it frees up a little and I go again. Weird! :rotfl:

I had to get up 4 times the for a wee the night before last. :( Most nights it's at least once.

Sometimes the baby moves down below and I feel like he's kicking my bladder. That can be uncomfortable.

If it continues though I'd definitely get it checked by the MW. You could have a little urine infection. They are very common in 3rd Tri. :(
