Black line

During pregnancy I had a vertical dark line that appeared right in the middle of my tummy. I saw in a couple of books that it was a common pregnancy thing. But now almost two months after giving birth the line is still there, as black as ever If you had the same, when did it finally disappear?

mine is still here 8 months later. then again it never dissappeared from my 1st baby in 2005!

My line took months and months to dissapear. Sorry I can't remember exactly but it was definitly more like a year than a couple of months!

Mine is still here too- although it was never very dark in the first place I can still see it. I think it is fading slowly. The hairy belly I had in pregnancy has all gone though

Mine never faded after my last pregnancy and I still have it now.

It has a name, the "linea nigra" (latin, of course..) and it usually DOES disappear, it is hormone related, so may take years. I understand that it often takes several years, but depends on if there are more pregnancies in the process. It may not disappear until about three or four years after pregnancy so you may find that it sticks around until you have finished having kids.

mine finally disappeared after i stopped breast feeding when my baby was 8 months old.
