ok so i thought being a bigger girl in first place id be fine for tops , how wrong was i  so been and got some today in the sale at dotty p , but , our of 3 tops only one looks and feel REALLY comfy , they others i think i could stilll easily grow out of , and the thin jumper style hoody i even got in 2 sizes bigger then i use too ( got size 22 when i am 18-20) and the t shirt i got , well its snug lmao

is there no where who does bigger girls clothes > ive got a couple of the flotty type tops but even there are coming up a bit short and riding up bump and making me look awfull and belly get cold lol

how do u with HUGE bumps cover up ?

Most of my mat tops aren't long enough anymore so I have been steeling from OH wardrobe the past few days and borrowing jumpers and things

**edit**

Meant to say that the casual DP mat tops aren't long enough- the thshirt/ long sleeve tshirt ones. The more dressy tope seem to be made longer.

Not sure what sizes they do if you order online? might have a bigger selection?

H&m do mat cloths up to a 24 and are ok, mothercare do up to 22 and pumpkin patch do up to a 24

evans have a maternity range, not very much choice tho, my mum told me about it but ive not had to get any bigger, just long and stretchier x

I agree DP tops are a bit short for me too (a size 16-18 pre pregnancy and 175cm tall:? ) I have some resonable ones from H&M but the longest I found are from good old primark (size 18 )

Because I wear only tops that are long enough to cover my butt so far I'm fine. I wear the basic tops from primark and I put a dress or a long cardie on top of it.

So far I managed to contain the bump :? but we'll see...

i have been struggling too,

i'm a 24 normally (got a huge bum lol....) and i havent found anywhere that caters for bigger people, like it has been said, Evans has started doing maternity ware but it's a very limited choice and when i went to order they didnt have 1 item in my size!!!

all other shops seem to stop at 18/20.

having to make do with what i've got so i wont have anything nice for xmas and i feel frumpy and uncomfy in most of what i have just now, i just hope i dont get much bigger or i'll be living in my pj's...

I got mine from New Look's maternity range and they fitted fine (and I'm not the smallest!)

New Looks range of mat clothes is great and really well priced too :)

Yep I certainly got my money's worth of wear out of them!

I got most of my clothes from Evans in my last pregnancy. I'm normally a size 18 but a 18-20 in Evans in a smock style fitted fine and I was massive at the end.

Dorothy Perkins mat range are way too short in the body for me and i'm a size 12. My bump hangs out the bottom and looks gross. Think it must just be bad design on thier part. :rotfl:

Now that my bump has got really big a lot of my jumpers tops etc. are a bit short and yes the bump does get chilly - I got a couple of those belly bands and I find them great, find once my belly is covered I dont mind if tops are a little short.

my evans dont do mat , shall look online ! have got my jeans from newlook but had nothin inspriring in there yesterday when we looked :wall:

the other thing is pj's ? spec for given birth / hossy etc . im usually fione with primark size 18 jobbies but there so way on earth the top will fit over bump now ( ya now the shirt style ones ) so what on earth do u do about that ? !

i was so niave thinking cos i was big anyway id get away with it

thanks for those kylie , so skint right now tho , dam work took half my dec wages cos i was off sick in october  and with whats happened to my step dad its all gone pete tong ! but shall watch for sale items lol

Ive been wearing leggins most of the time as they sit comfortably under my bump with floaty tops but they are all getting pretty tight now and alot I cant wear anymore, I got some nice ones from new look sale but not sure what size they go up to. My fav ones ive got are from primark though, have you go one of those near u as they are pretty cheap too?

As for PJs asda have some ribbed jama tops for £3 thats are pretty stretchy so ive got a few of those n just bin wearing big knickers or shorts lol. I also have a couple of nighties for labour/afterwards that are about a size 22 and they only just fit over my belly now but been wearing them so could do with stopping and leaving em in my bag!!

i just bought some smock type tops from matalan. They go up to a size 28 I think so should fit any bump under :D They dead cheap too...mine were £12. Cant wait to get back into normal clothes tho!! Somehow I'm still wearing normal jeans which I'm V suprised at. They are tight now but no way am I getting anything else when there's only 4 sleeps to go!!

I've bought so many maternity items from DP's and Mothercare, thought they would last me until I at least finished work but how wrong was I?!!!

I've just got some long tops from Tesco in size 18 (normally wear a 14 to 16) and they fit great at the moment, cheap as chips too! Tesco do a plus size range too which go to a 26 I think.

Having nothing to wear while pregnant is the worst feeling, I just feel a mess most on the time but just remember it's not going to be forever  :D

Good luck, hope you find something!

what about ebay? Its a treasure trove of maternity clothes.
