BF Baby Feeding Less

Hi Ladies,

Over the last few days I've noticed that Joey has been feeding only 3 times all day I keep trying him but he's totally not interested....he is very inquisitive and I'm wondering if he's too busy looking around?

Any ideas?

DS and DD went through a stage like this. Any little noise would distract them and they seemed to only get tiny little feeds, in fact DS is still a bit like it now. Is your DS just on bm? If so then I wouldn't worry too much, I'm sure that he'll start feeding more again soon. A breastfeeding necklace may help to keep his attention to your chest area! As long as he's weeing, pooing and alert then try not to worry too much.
If he's on solids then it may be that he's getting too much to eat which is why he's cut down on breastfeeding, so you may need to adjust his food.

As Kina said, they go thru phases, depending on wether they are going through a "growing period" or not. Might be good to check his weight gain, just keep an eye on it. In any case, if he is only bf, dont worry, they self regulate
