Sorry to post a horrible thread, but I've had some gunky discharge in my belly button which went hardish which I was unable to get, totally cleaned it Tuesday and noticed today there was more, my dad fetched it all out with the tweezers, just wondering if anyone knows what it could be?
I'm going to ask my midwife at my 24week appointment, but obviously have to wait a week and half for that. If it helps I can explain what it was like but don't want to put people off with my horrid thread.
xx

Crikey I have no idea. Are you sure it's not been dropped in there? After my tapioca incident this week that's my first thought.

Hope you get to the bottom of it and it clears up soon xxxxxxxxxxx

Definately not dropped in there, lol.
I didn't want to pick it out either as when I was younger my Grandad said if I mess with my belly button I will come undone and its always stuck.
It was like when a babys umbilical cord is cut and its drying up, that kinda colour which we could see, but dad pulled it out and it was like a white further down :s Really don't know what it is. x

No idea hun but I'd be tempted to either phone the midwife or go to the doctors as soon as, might just a little infection and not pregnancy related but best to get it checked sooner rather than later if it is xxx

Ooooo did it have a smell? I must admit to smiling a bit cos my dad would run a mile lmao. Clean it with cooled boiled water and some lint if you have any in your first aid kit. Don't use cotton wool cos fibres might get stuck. I would ring the mw monday if it was me tbh, just out of curiosity if nothing else. It sounds gross but maybe try to keep some to show her just in case xxxxxxxxx

It didn't really have a smell, haven't really smelt it, none there as of now, but who knows if some more may come back. I've wrapped it in paper tissue so I can show her. Did think of ringing her monday but didn't know how to explain the whole situation. xx

Just explain it the way you have here. Am wondering if your belly button is about to pop out, I'm dreading that cos I can't stand outsy belly buttons lol. Hope it's cleared up xxxxxxxxxx

Don't know Hun but didn't want to read and run! Get a docs appt asap to get it checked out! May just be a bit of streching has caused it x

I think the same as baby brain, could just be what was caught in the belly button and now it is opening out it is more obvious?!?!? Im dreading belly button popping out as I have a real deep inny and if it popped out as much as it goes in then it will look like a finger!! Lol!!!
xxxxx

Mrs N, I have a deep inny too. Although I want mine to pop so I can give it a good clean. Lol.
Think I will be ringing midwife in the morning, Have to phone Mon-Fri between 8.30-9.30 so I'll ring and see what she says. :)
xx

Mine has kinda evened over a bit so it is quite easy to clean now!! Yeah check with midwife just incase it is a little infection or something!!
xxx

Don't think mine has really changed, I can pop it a little so its not so deep, but still.
I shall phone midwife and ask.

Mine's really deep too....if I stand still long enough I reckon you will be able to hang at least 3 coats and a hat on it eeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwww

Lol baby brain!!! you made me chuckle!!

Baby Brain, I think you may stretch it a little then. x

eeewwwww i'm trying not to think about it lol

How is it? have you had any more? xxxxxxxxxxx

Hi, sounds like a small infection. You need to bathe it in salt water and keep it clean.

I didn't phone the midwife, I'm useless.
Haven't had anymore though so leaving it until I go see her.
But if I do get some mroe between now and then I shall be phoning :) Xx
