is anyone a registered childminder?
i dont want to leave hayden to go back to
work just yet so i've started the ball rolling to
become a RCM..so i can stay at home with him and
look after other kids..not sure i want to do it yet but
i'm getting my certificate so that its an option.

just wondered if anyone else does this..experiences etc..

ta x

I nearly did it and even went to the introductory session but have since decided it isn't for me as I don't want to be at home all the time anymore, I find it too lonely and would prefer to be with other adults, so I am instead doing a course to be a teaching assistant, so i still get to work with kids but not on my own, and still get all out of school hrs with my children so better than than a normal 9-5 mon-fri job :)
I am still keepingchildminding as an option though incase that doesnt work out - it has its benefits, running your own business, noone to be bossed around by.

ah thats a good idea, i see your point totally
i'm not quite sure myself just thought it would mean
i could stay at home with hayden and work too.

but yeh maybe getting out to work would be
more stimulating and having adult company too.
if i do go back to work i'm waiting till he can go to nursery
though. i dont want to put him in full time childcare
at this age.

It's sounds like a great way to earn money, also I bet your little boy would prefer being with his Mum at home. I wish I'd done it when mine were smaller, I didnt even consider it back then and did weekend work in retail instead. now mine have both started school i have more options.
Good luck I'm sure you'll do well, there are loads of extra courses you can go on aswell as the 15 hr course. Luckily i think its seen nowadays as more of a respectable profession :)

thank you, i'll do the course anyway and see how
it goes. always good to have something to fall
back on anyway isnt it!
thanks for the advice :)

oh def do the course hun, it is a great qualification, i may even go back to it some point but nursery nurse at moment.

If i can help at all just PM me

no prob hun, like i say if i can help just give me a shout, didnt do it for long but you name childcare iv done most jobs at some point.

hope you enjoy it if you go for it
