Bed routine Q. for breastfeeding mums

Since Fin was born I have settled him in bed every single night with a breast feed. I would really like Dad to be able to put Fin to bed, perhaps after I have fed him. Would this upset/confuse him? Do you ladies put your babies to bed yourself? x

Does he fall asleep on the boob? When DS has breast before bed (which isn't that often as he now has a bottle before bed), then I wait until he's unlatched and either carry him upstairs or DH takes him from me, takes him up and tucks him in. If he wakes during this time then he settles him back down.

That sounds like a good idea Kina. At the mo, I feed him on the bed but make sure he falls asleep on his own (this has taken 9 months lol!). I may start feeding him and then let OH read a story afterwards.

Do you express at all??

A few times I've expressed off and let OH do the whole bedtime routine, although this is always a bit of a fight and I can't always be bothered with the hassle (Evie does not do bottles well!!) but have perservered in the vain hope I go might have a night out soon

If I've not expressed then I boobie feed and a few times a week OH takes her off me and does the whole settling thing, just so she doesn't get so used to me doing it all the time. I think its nice for Evie and OH

i do it all the time to be honest i love it it is our time..D falls asleep on me then i tranfer him to cot...he isn't very good at falling asleep on his own
