Finally after the miscarriage, darling Mother Nature has paid me a visit, oh joy, lol. I am actually happy about it because it means things are back to normal again meaning we can try again [maybe after the wedding though, my dress is here and if I became pregnant now it wouldn't fit me! haha.], but at the same time not amused purely because with the miscarriage I was bleeding for ages then it finally stopped now I'm bleeding again. Seriously, stop it with all the blood or I'll start getting squeamish!
I want to try again after the wedding but I'm terrified it's going to wind up in miscarriage again. I know it's pretty common for women to have a miscarriage then go on to have perfectly healthy babies, but my health is so screwed up I'm terrified it's an ongoing thing.
I had a cyst on my ovary when I was 16, it was pretty large [the nurse said it was the size of a small orange, no wonder it hurt so much!] but that went away of it's own accord, although it did mess up my periods for a fair while afterwards. I've had scans since and they don't seem concerned that it caused any lasting damage. But my mother had cysts and also had endometriosis, and my aunt suffers from PCOS. On top of having 2 VP shunts for hydrocephalus, I'm pretty terrified that all of that is just going to mess things up for me having children full stop.
Obviously my family having these conditions doesn't necessarily mean that it will affect me but I'm terrified all the same.
Should I bring this concern up with a doctor now, or wait until I start trying again? :wall2:

Sorry to hear about your mc and it's nice too see your spirits are up :)

I have pcos & Endo I had a mc when I was 20 (which I didn't know I was pg until I went to the doctors due the constant loss of blood) and now I'm pg at 28. My mum had an ovary removed, my aunt has had cervical problems so having the same concerns I mentioned it to my doctor when we were ttc and they said to just carry on as normal for a year and see what happens but at the time I had an appointment with them as my AF was irregular so i started having tests. I'm glad I asked because it put my mind at rest so you need to speak to your doc. After the mc you need reassurance and an advice from them. My doctor gives advice over the phone before appointments so ask the surgery for your doc to call so you can have a chat maybe. Either way if it's on your mind put it to rest :) xxx

:) Yeah I might have to do that.
It is really worrying but I'm attempting to not be too negative about it because I'd just get myself into an unecessary amount of stress and I don't think that will help. Guess once I get reassurance, it'll be easier to not stress.

Oh poo! Mother natures visit was super short! Guess my bodys gonna be awkward for a while after mc! Grr.

MrsDraven, sorry to hear about your mc. fx all goes well and your have your sticky bean soon :hugs: xx

Does anyone know when your body should be getting back to normal roughly after an MC? I haven't [obviously] had a period since May. Had bleeding with the MC which stopped when MC had finished. Still no sign of Mother Nature, just weird dark yellow dischargy [sorry for the image!] stuff and mild cramping. Anyone know what's going on?

I have had that hun.

Not due to MC, but coming off the depo. I had that for 4/5 days and i think it may have just been a bit of a build up to af, which got me on sun.

Hope that helps a little :)

xxx

Thanks hon :) I shall anxiously await mother nature! :)
