Just got back from my scan and everything went great. I've been given 6 pics of beanie (will try to scan them and upload them later). I've been put back by two days, so 10+5 and due 28th October.

On the plus side though, we had been told that if we wanted the nuchal fold scan then it would cost £150-300 so we decided against it but the lovely obs said, just to let you know, the fold on the back of the neck is very thin, meaning that you are very low risk so personally, even if your bloods come back as high risk you may want to take that into consideration when thinking about an amnio

What a lovely man, basically did it for free

Glad everything went well hunny :) cant wait to see the pics.
That was lovely of the sonographer to do that for you x x

Ah that's great, glad everything went well for you x

That excellent news.... looking forward to seeing the little one in some pics soon.

Suppose we cannot call them a bean anymore... They are a cute little baby. :)

hey great news :)

sorry what is a nuchal fold scan? Is it something different from the normal nuchal scan? Normal nuchal scan can't be £150-300, right??

congrats on your scan, glad everything is ok. :)

did you go private? or NHS? at my hospital i get the dating scan and nuchal fold scan for nothing.

xx

woohooo congratulations hun, glad all went well for you!! Everything also went well for us....saw little bubba, was in very awkward position so difficult to get decent piccys! I am 12 wks 1 day, due Oct 18th, had bloods taken & measurements done so will find out in a few days if all is good. Eeeeek so excited for us!! xxx

Excellent news that your scan went well

Cant wait to see the pics

:)

I live in Guernsey, we don't have the NHS over here so all healthcare is private. The nuchal scan is a new thing that has only just been offered (we have one gyn who is qualified to do it) and at the moment, it is not offered for free, you have to pay for it.

Yeah I've since gathered that is the reason since you mentioned it in another post. xx
