Back from midwife appointment

Very boring really. Checked my pulse and wee and prodded my stomach. All is well. As I had been warned, she didn't check for baby's heartbeat because it's difficult to hear at this stage and she didn't want to worry me if she couldn't find it.

Can't wait for my second scan now in 2 and a half weeks!

i remember my MW telling me the same thing about not checking the babies heartbeat. but the first time you hear it its amazing!

My midwife checked the heartbeat at 16 week scan?? Guess they are all different....

its annoying though, i wish there was a set standard so we all know what to expect.....

mine checked at 16 weeks too and found it easy !

Mine said at 17 weeks that she might not be able to find it as it is still early so I told her we had heard it daily from 13 weeks LOL

I found mine myself at 12 weeks, although the midwife said that she wouldn't even try untill I had had the 12 week scan, my next appointment is next week

That is so true!!!

I heard it for the first time last week at my 20 weeks appointment... I hadn't even thought she was going to... it was so loud and fast
