Well I was in the hospital again today. Same as usual, MW checked me over to start with and when she felt my tummy she said baby was laying slightly oblique but popped back to middle when she was feeling it. So consultant had a good feel and we started talking about options. Basically she has some concerns that the baby is very free and she said that in my last labour, although I got to 9cm, baby only was 1/5 engaged.
We had a good chat, she said she was less confident that I would go naturally or that if I did go naturally that I wouldn't end up with an emergency section after feeling that baby is so free. We looked at the options for elective sections in the end I chose Wednesday
As in the day after tomorrow!! I'd love to give myself the best chance to go naturally but I don't want a section so close to Christmas and to be honest I don't think another couple of days would make any difference.
Sooooo!!! Wednesday morning I'm going down to the hospital for 9
0am. My consultant (who is lovely) said she'll do a last minute check to see if anything is happening (we both doubt it) and then I'll have my baby!
