Back after 3 months

Hi ladies, I am back after a few months away as my personal laptop broke and did not want to come on here on my work laptop. Nothing has changed for me, for those of you that do not know my story I have been ttc for nearly 4 years now. I have 2 boys from a previous relationship. We are under the fertility consultant and the last appointment we were told I had suspected pcos and that I needed to go on a high protein diet and use ov sticks. On Monday I called the consultant to ask if I can start using fertility drugs and he said YES! We are over the moon, I am on cycle day no4 so will have to wait to start taking clomid next cycle!!! So excited to be trying something different, they have posted the prescription today. So please will you lovely ladies give me the heads up on any clomid facts/side effects success rates etc, I will be so grateful xxx

Welcome back Helven. Im currently on CD 12 of my first clomid cycle. I took the tablets at night as I had read about hot flushes. Not experienced any side effects that I know of but I have been waking up very sweaty in the morning which is unusual so thinking it may be that flushes in the middle of the night.

In terms of all other knowledge I dont have much seen this is my first cycle but I have to go for day 21 bloods. Dont actually have my next prescription so might phone tomorrow to see whats going on with that!

Thanks laurat, I will be one month behind you then. Already I think that I will take your advise with taking it at night. Sounds like you are having the flushes during the night! They did mention that I will have bloods done on the first cycle but I think they are giving me 3 months of tablets on the first prescription.

I will check out chaz's post.

Have you been advised to bd any differently while on it ie more/less regular?

Im just using my clearblue fertility monitor and Im going to BD on the peak days for sure then just regular apart from that. Usually 2 to 3 times a week.

Im going to definetly phone tomorrow as I think I should have got more than 1 month. My dr hasnt a clue about it and was very unsure. She would only give me 1 month. Ill need it asap if Ive to get anothet prescription!

Hiya

There is a few of us on Clomid here, a couple of girls have just sarted their 1sy cycle and a few have been on longer. Its main side effect is hot fluses, followed by cold sweats. They will start after your 1st tablet too! On my 1st cycle they lasted for the 2 weeks before OV. This cycle just the 1st cycle week then this week after ov. You will prob also feel enhanced ov pain which is quite a nice thing as you know they are doing something

I tried clomid later on in the day this cycle and you cannot escape the hot flushes.....its all lies

Ive been given 6 month prescription, and they are leaving me to it for 3 months as i had a tracking scan which showed 1 follicle, so my doseage is ok.
