Baby's Hearing.

I was just wondering can baby's hear things at this stage?
Last night she was kicking for about an hour, some were quite painful
recently iv been playin a certain soft ringtone off my phone on my belly, an last night i did it an after playin it i had no kicks?
could that of lured her to sleep?

i wouldnt put ur mobile on there.. maybe im a bit paranoid.. but we still dunno the damage phones do.. id rather not risk it.. and they can definatly hear at this stage.. they know ur voice. and u can play music to them now.. i did a study in psychology, that showed babys who listened to music in the womb grew up to be very intelligent

Just seeing that post on hearing made me think of something I read the other day. I didn't feel that mine was responding to noise that much but apparently it's not rare that babies don't respond...and of course I then worried that my baby was deaf or something! Anyway what was interesting was that babies who have hearing problems will still respond to outside noises! Think (hope!) mine is just lazy!
