Babybath and shampoo

ive never used shampoo. ive always used babybath to was her hair. we dont use baby wipes either.

its safe to use them from 6 weeks tho hun :D

Thanks for posting this td - I was wondering this too.

l*r - do you still use cotton wool and water then? I was considering this too but find it a pain when out and about - what do you do then? I take a mini spray bottle but it never seems to do the trick! Any advice you have would be great!

Re. shampoos/toptotoe wash etc - I am loving the fact that nothing chemical has ever gone on her skin so not keen to use any products although I know I'll have to soon.

Sorry for slight thread hi-jack td!

i use the huggies pure wipes- its like using water and cotton wool. still using the cotton wool when washing his face and bathing in just water

We've used Johnson's baby shampoo and bubble bath before, but not often, we don't bath him everyday, and we often use porridge oats soaked through a muslin, its great as a natural moisturiser for LO's skin. Occassionally I've used Johnson's lavendar & camomile baby massage oil on him, and metanium, but nothing else. We too use only water and cotton wool for nappy changes but do have wipes for when out.

yeah valentine i use just cotton wool and water. Ive never used a wipe on her and no washes/lotions etc other than baby bath on here hair.
When out and about i just use cotton wool and water and run the cotton wool under a tap in a baby changing room.

A granny used one baby wipe on Evie and she came out it this red rash  . So never again from that point on. Shes never had nappy rash either. Although i wish i used wipes when im cleaning up a really messy poo :puke: instead of faffinf with cotton wool, but i manage  .

sorry for HJing the thread too :moon: .

I used cotton wool and water on dylans bum till he was 2 months old except the odd wipe when there was no water.

D goes in the bath everynight but sometimes just with plain water and i don't wash him.

I only wash his hair when he has been sick in it as he has a dry scalp and put olive oil on..I was with johnsons top to toe wash but not everyday either.

I started using shampoo and baby bath when leif was about 3/4 weeks and i have always used baby wipes.

I've always used it all
lol
She has johnsons bedtime bath
johnsons shampoo wash her hair and then i was her down with jphnsons top to toe wash

I started using shampoo, baby bath and wipes when Jake was a couple of weeks old. I have always used Johnsons shampoo and baby bath and not had any problems. I use whatever wipes are on offer but I always buy unfragranced ones.

Austin has a bath every 2 or 3 days and we only use bubbles once a week. I use the Avent top to toe wash when I do use it. Every other night we top & tail him with plain old water.

I've used frangrance-free baby wipes since he was born, and make sure I give him lots of nappy free time (usually at least 30 minutes a day, before bedtime.

The only time he ever had nappy rash was when we went on a long trip & I didn't realise he had pood so he ended up sitting in it for a couple of hours. I felt so guilty.
