My baby boy, Logan, is only 8 weeks old, I'm not an avid baby wearer but I've carried him occasionally from birth in a close caboo wrap which he loves - if he's fussy he falls asleep instantly as soon as he's in it. He's a big baby for his age though - around 14lbs 8 and proportionally long, I feel the caboo is no longer supporting him properly no matter how much I tighten / position it. It's also not supportive enough on my back anymore. So after much online research I went for the ergo 360 carrier. Although Logan is over 12lbs he is (way) under 4 months so I also bought the infant insert as per retailer guidelines. I'm pleased with it but haven't had a chance to try it properly as Logan seems to hate it!! Within minutes of being in it he starts crying and stops instantly as soon as I take him out. Every review I read says how comfortable it is for baby and I can't find one review that says baby didn't get on with it!
I want to persevere but can't bare the thought that I'm causing him pain or discomfort - anyone else's baby take a while to get used to it or have a similar experience?

Oh, hope you get some answers.

I loved wearing my youngest and can't wait to use my slings again, but I was & am very much a wrap girl lol. I never clicked with Mei Tais. I got a cheapy one for her dad to wear as he was no good at wrapping, and then later I got red velvet Onbu & a nice wrap conversion toddler NHT, but I still prefer my wraps I'm afraid.

One thing that can help if babies dont like to be worn is to first make sure they have just been fed & changed etc, and then to wrap them (or put him in the Ergo in this case) and go for a walk so there are things for him to look at.
