My besties are organising a baby shower for me and asked if there is anything in particular I want to do, games etc. I've had a look online for ideas but I was wondering if anyone on here had a baby shower and what did you do 🙂 Thank you! X

For my first baby I had an afternoon tea baby shower and strictly no games as we had been to so many in a short space of time I couldn't stand another game! I'm not having a baby shower this time.
Last summer I helped organise a carnival themed shower. We had a photo booth, candy floss, hot dogs, hook the duck, shoot the duck, guess how many sweets, face paint and glitter tattoos. luckily it was a lovely sunny day.

Hope this has given you a few ideas. Enjoy your shower :-) x

Blimey that sounds like a fabulous shower! Thank you for the ideas, I'll put them across to my ladies!

Hi Kimi89,

An afternoon tea shower like Onedaysoon25 mentioned sounds great because it won't go on too long and with you being pregnant it's not all day and all night so you don't have to worry about getting tired!

I've heard people reveal the gender of their baby by having a cake baked, cutting the cake with everyone around and revealing the gender by the sponge colour inside the cake being blue or pink, or having pink skittles fall out or blue sweets.

If you want to leave the gender a surprise you could have a themed shower, like, lemon and cream! So people can buy you white, cream, lemon unisex gifts for baby and women come in white/cream tea dresses in the afternoon! You could have lemon and silver balloons everywhere and white tulips and daffodils in vases :)

Afternoon tea does sound lovely. Nice and relaxing I'm sure by then I'm going to be struggling a bit. I already get tired quickly and I'm only 31 weeks!

My Mum organised a surprise baby shower for me last weekend! We had a couple of games, pin the dummy on the baby, then a game with the cheapest toilet roll you can find and make a nappy on a partner - whoever had the most durable, nappy-looking one won! Also did some gender guess cards and some Wishes for Baby notes. Was really lovely! Also had food too - the best bit when you're 36 weeks hehe! X

I haven't had a shower however liked the idea more for the tea then that way it's more like a tea party as I'm not for centre of attention or party games.

Just don't do what a girl I work with done. Had her mum bring work to the event and by work I mean her mother is a dominatrix and brought a male dressed in a female maid costume. Who served me bucks fizz as I entered the door despite me telling him I was pregnant
