What age did you give it to your LO?

It says on the packet 4 months but surely it should go on weight? Teddy is a very hungry baby who weighs around 12 lb (at least) would it harm to try him on one baby spoon of it with his last feed?

Opinions please :D as i cant seem to find anything that says if its harmful or not at 8/9 weeks.

Thanks

They don't have the capability to digest anything other than milk until they are 17 weeks - as far as I know it's to do with enzymes etc. It can also fill them up and can put them off their milk which is why the recommendation is at least 4 months. Babies also don't lose the tongue thrust reflex till about then too so it's also a choking risk. We started giving Becky some baby rice at about 4 and a half months though we ended up using it mixed with fruits and veg as it's really bland on its own.

personally no,
it is not related to weight, but to how mature your little ones tummy is, and at 8 weeks it won't be mature enough to cope with digesting it.

why not try feeding every 3 hours (not sure how often you are feeding already)
