Hi I was wondering at how many weeks pregnant you should be when the 10 movements a day rule starts. I am 18 weeks and somedays I don't feel the baby move.I used to get a lot of little movements in my pelvis area but don't anymore,i was wondering if the baby may have moved out of my pelvis area now, anyone else experienced or experiencing this xx

I've been experiencing exactly the same! I was getting really worried and then one night I stayed up really late after midnight and she was having an areobics session! (They do say they are most active when we sleep) I also feel the kicks higher now and have done for a few weeks. The sonographer told me when I had my scan any movement you feel before about 20 weeks is a bonus. I don't think you count 10 movements a day until about 28 weeks but someone else will probably be able to give definite answer. Our babies are still quite small and can be in a position where we wont feel them as much. So sorry to go on so much but basically yes its normal and don't worry! :)

No skatty feel free to go on :D I am glad i am not the only one,i was getting movements in the morning quite a lot,i was wondering if babs had started to get up when i am asleep as i haven't had as much movement lately :( .I have a feeling babs has moved up out of my pelvis so i guess untill he/she gets a bit bigger i will not feel as much.

Found this to which has eased my mind a little :D xx

"I felt this baby's movements at about 18-19 weeks. I think I actually had been feeling them earlier but because they felt more like gas I probably didn't recognize them. I finally figured out that I couldn't be having THAT much gas, plus I wasn't bloated like I normally am when I do have gas. By about 21-22 weeks the movements were much more discernable, although my doctor cautioned me to not start doing any kick counts until at least my 25th week, and that it's perfectly normal up until then to have some days when you don't feel any movement."

Thanks Nikki! I have been getting all paranoid again because I haven't been feeling as much movement the last day either! I must say I have been really busy though so I hope she's been rocked to sleep. Glad you are feeling better about it, I guess we will always be a little worried about something :)

Im 20 weeks and one day, and just over a week ago i felt something moving, but i havent felt it since!
Im hoping something will happen again soon! :D

Hi Lilli, I'm sure you will start to feel baby moving more soon. Have you tried lying on the settee and eating an ice lolly? I find this works really well :D

Hi everyone, still no more movement :( . Have heartburn though :D ,so sure everything is fine,i am sure babs has moved out of my pelvis and that is where i was getting my movements.i am not skinny about a size 14 so i am guessing that it could be a bit longer before i feel anything else :( I was loving the feeling too, just glad to know i am not the only one xx

Oh heartburn  Isn't it the worst? The sweets are all so chalky and make me feel queasy :( Fizzy water calms it down for me :)
