Could any of you recommend a cheap yet reliable baby monitor?
We're not using one at home as we're living in a flat with all the rooms very close to each other so never felt the need to get one but next month we're going to my parents' in France and we're going to need one as the house is massive. Don't know anything about them as I never thought we would buy one :? Any info is welcome

I haven't bought one yet but i was in Ikea yesterday and noticed they have one for £25.... briefly considered it but thought i would try and find out if it's any good first!!

TBH its down to personal preference at the end of the day. We live in an old house with thick walls and got a digital monitor (BT one on special from £70 down to £50) and its been brilliant. Clear as day to hear even the slightest noise on. I have found non digital ones to be far from clear with interference and if its a big house maybe the signal won't be so good.

If you only want it for occasional use go cheap but beware that it might not be so good. I can't recommened one as the ones I've known used in the past (was a nanny so saw loads of different ones) were usually a bit more pricey and most were pre digital.

FWIW the BT one is really good and has all sorts of features. Not sure if its still on special anywhere. We got ours from Amazon.

We've got a BT digital one too and it's fab. Very clear and no interference.

We have just bought the BT150 which is supposed to retail for £70 for £35 from ebay. It is from a company that deal in catalogue returns and reconditioned phones and is in perfect condition. Bargain!

We also have the BT one and it is fab. My mum and dad have the fisher price cheapy one (lights and sounds?) and it is rubbish, you get so much interference it is ridiculous.
