Could someone please explain this? Am I right in thinking that you feed milk exclusively for 6 months and then babies can go onto solid foods without them being pureed?

I'm a long way off yet but I like to get prepared! Are there any good books on it and would you reccommend it?

Thanks :D

For recipes and things, I've had lovely book bought for me called 'the new complete baby and toddler meal planner' by Annabel Karmel.

I think it's quite a popular one and has a little information on when/how to wean, although it's more about the actual food preparation and serving.

Nice and colourful though, one to think about asking for as a pressie maybe?

Skatty - baby led weaning is a different version of weaning onto solid foods.

This website is really informative :) http://www.borstvoeding.com/voedselintr ... lines.html

There is also a baby led weaning thread in feeding :D

I started off Ella with finger foods and now she has a mixture of those and is spoonfed some lumpy foods :D

Some members have been doing this and discussing it in this thread in the "feeding and nutrition" section :)

Thank you all for your help! I know its a way off yet but I am trying to be prepared in case I don't have so much time when LO is here :)
