As above, little man has just thrown up a full feed, I mean loads!!! Had to strip my bed, it went everywhere.
This is the first time this has happened.
He had a little bit more milk after this and is now asleep.

Is he ok?
Anyone else's lo done this??

I'm anxious now (wouldn't think he was my 5th would you lol) xx

I didn't bf, but my lo threw up a few feeds when he was newborn. He'd projectile vomit it all up, then cry for more and fall asleep once he was full. He was always fine so I wouldn't worry too much as long as he doesn't do it every feed.

Ah thanks hun, that's good to know.
I'm so paranoid about him being poorly x

I remember once Stanley projectile vomited everywhere at about 7 weeks, it came straight out his nose too :( only happened the once but completely frightened the life out of me :(

The fact he took more after us a good sign, hope he's better when he wakes x

Thanks hun, it was a real shock because there was loads and I mean loads!
He's smiling his head off now and he hasn't got a temperature xx

Awww that's good then!! I think sometimes the get a lot of wind and the milk all comes up with it! Dunno glad he's smiling though, sure he'll be fine now :) x

Amelie did that a couple of times and she is never sick, never been a sicky baby. She scared the hell out of me and that nigh I got up so many times to check if she is ok and if she got maybe a temperature but she was just fine.
Was he burping maybe? Sometimes with burping the sphincter relaxes and up with the air comes the whole feed.

He was asleep at the time, on my tummy on his side after he'd fed. He just opened his mouth and I tidal wave came out. I didn't hear a burp but I suppose it could have been wind that caused it.
It's scary isnt it xx

we suddenly had this last week, tons and tons of it, everywhere! It came in more than one wave too!

It kept happening and LO's appetite seemed reduced so we took him to the doctors and they said reflux. Apparently reflux can hit at about 7-12 weeks for some babies and they quickly out grow it. We took some medications for him and he's much better now.

One off is nothing to worry about, but if it starts to happen more often then it might be worth a check up!

I'll keep an eye on him willow, thanks :)

He has just fed again and hasn't been sick, fx that's it and there's no more xx

I don't have advice as such but I do remember someone telling me that when they are sick it looks like more than it actually is?
I've not had projectile yet but had a few sicky episodes all over me!! Something to look forward to I suppose?! xx

Aaron did this to me on Saturday ... Had me worried sick ... Just keep an eye on him , check his temp and see if he wants a little more later

Please excuse any typos from my fat fingers!

B did this to me a few times when he was up to 6 weeks old then stopped. He always did it after I'd freshly expressed it for him - I wanted to cry!

It's horrible to see and a bit random not sure what caused it but B was a guzzler!

My lo is a terrible guzzler! He chokes every feed at some point, I do have a really fast flow so not all his fault.
He hasn't done it again, thank god.

Thanks for the replies girls xx

It could be that you have a bit of an over supply/over active let down at the moment. Gracie was like this at the start and it was all down to her over filling herself, my over supply and over active let down didn't help because if the milk keeps coming, the baby will keep drinking as they don't recognise when they are full yet, it didn't stop me panicing though! I used to take her off when my let down happened and catch the first part in a cup untill it calmed down and then put her back on, it really helped with the choking and I'd store what I'd caught. You could also try hand expressing before feeds as well so your breasts aren't as full xx

My flow is very fast, and the let down is intense, I'll try that, thanks hun x
