I thought it would b worth starting a list of things that were essential items in people opinions as u could easily sownd a small fortune on 'stuff' you dont need!

Your essentials are literally just something for them to sleep in, something to transport them in, clothes, nappies and bedding but obv there is so much more that you will get even if you are on a budget!! I wud suggest to get the basics before baby is here and then buy stuff once you know what you need!!

Ive started buying bits and bobs already its not really about the budget its just about people recommending stuff that you will get the most use out pf etc like mum said she mever used a baby bath or top and tail bowl she had a bath support instead :0)

Main things - car seat, something for them to sleep in, pram, blankets or baby grows and nappies.

Everything else is a luxery. I've added a nice black patterened bag to my wishlist with bottle holders and nappy compartment etc but can also use it as normal shopping bag and for days out.

Hubby said I'll need a breast pump as I refuse to show my tits in public but I was hoping I could milk myself like a cow :/

Will bath baby in the sink - just get a new cheap washing up bowl and there ya go - £1.50 they normally are when baby baths are normally more than a tenner! Does same job ;)

Oooo a baby bouncer - can't forget that so baby has somewhere safe to play sleep whilst we do housework.

Nicely put :D hehe I am going for a breast pump I'm not sure I could handle the milking myself part or just ask hubby to do it maybe? lol

I've started to buy bits and bobs, sleeps suits a few little outfits scratch mits and have been given lots of knitted cardies by hubbys granny, this is her first great grandchild :)

Essentials for us..cotbed, chest of drawers (although we have an old set from our room which is in good nick so could well use that instead?), moses basket, travel system, blankets, nappies, bottles, bouncer, bath support. I would say that was the main buys but everyone is different :)

I have ordered a play mat with hanging things on it but only because it was on offer and matched the bouncer! x

Playmats a good idea - especially if you have pets. I'm hoping to sew a quilt thing for baby to play on so it dosen't look like a mini Sam (dog) :p
