At what age can my son start using his cot bed as a bed?

we have a cot bed, obviously can't start using it as a bed for a long time yet but when is a good age?

I put my daughter into her bed from 16 months. She's never fallen out and took to it straight away, no probs x.

I didn't start potty training until she was just shy of 3. She just wasn't ready. Best tip is to wait until they are, don't force them
