I hate ebay! I know this is stupid and i should of put a reserve price on. My lateral thigh trainer just went for 99p and i paid a bloody fortune for it. I have had a few items go for crap recently and im beginning too lose faith in ebay now over a few things.
Thinking about closing the account and selling privately. Is anyone else dishearted by ebay?

I've just sold a load of Finlay's old clothes on ebay and most went for 1p but I wanted rid of them.

do u have to pay ebay just to buy? I kept getting emails saying I owe them £6.16 and I have never sold, then the other day i got a debt company send me a letter saying pay up! WTF!

I like it for buying, selling I'm losing faith in now. I had a load of baby clothes on an auction, had about 12 watchers and no bids. I ended the auction because I was loathe to part with them for 99p. I suppose you could say if I'd set that price I should be willing to accept it but to be honest I'd set it to get more bids as higher starting prices put people off. I also absolutely hate that as a seller you have practically no recourse against nightmare buyers and I've had a few of those such as people winning auctions on a Sunday morning and wondering why they didn't have an item on Monday

I think now unless I have anything special (usually branded stuff - I sold a few pairs of Birkis I had this year and they sold really well) I'll sell my bits and pieces at car boot sales.

Baby-storm no you don't have to pay ebay just to buy. I would contact live help about it.

Hmmmm Strange

Log into your account and have a look as any charges from ebay will be listed somewhere there, so may explain what they are.

ETA if you go into my ebay and scroll down on the left hand side there should be a link to ebay fees

Im seriously thinking of being a mean ebayer and closing my account and not parting with it - im loathe to let it go for that!
