are hair removal creams safe?

i read somewhere that hair removal creams shouldn't be used during pregnancy and its better to shave. i really hate shaving and i have used hair removal creams several times before reading that they shouldn't be used. does anyone know for sure if this is really true or is it ok to use them?? so confusing about what we can and can't use.

it's probably not recommended to use them because your skin is so different whilst you are pregnant- I can't use half the stuff I used before without getting a nasty rash!
