aptamil help!!! thanks :)

hello...well basically i was exclusively breast feeding but now since baby was 6 months (shes now nearly seven) i have itnroduced a bottle twice a day of aptamil forumlae first milk whilst introducing purees food twice a day...my questions are....do you always give a bottle of milk with a puree pot of food and what formulae shoulde mily be having the "first" aptamil forumlae or aptamil three which is to co inside with weaning..im confused as the aptamil first says it can be sued up to 12 months?? ta!!!xx

The HV has always told me that you use the first infant milk up until a year old and that they don't need the next stage milk it's just so they can advertise milk as the government don't allow them to advertise first milks. I'm starting to wean next week and have a book about it, while weaning you should still be giving them a bottle as milk is still there main diet. Tbh I'm not sure when exactly to start dropping milk. Some other mummies on here should be able to help though xx

Aptamil first is listed ffor birth to 6 months, aptamil 2 is listed for 6-12 months , Alanna is nearly 10 months and on aptamil 2.

Lo is on Aptamil Follow on Milk, I introduced it just after we started weaning at six months. ( he was previously on Aptamil first). He dosent have a bottle with his breakfast, lunch or dinner, he has a beaker of water, with these meals. He has his bottles in-between his solid feeds. He prob only has around 3-4oz per bottle now, he hasn't dropped a bottle, his volumes have just decreased xxxxxxx

Jack has breakfast and supper (baby rice) and he gets offered the rest of the bottle I didn't use to make his food, he doesn't always drink it though. Once he's on 3 meals a day i'll still offer him the rest of the milk after breakfast and then offer him milk inbetween the other meals x
