I bought some the other day to try and up Alannas calorie intake to keep her weight up..

It says 5oz in the size of the tin which sounds like a lot in the first place..

But she is STILL hungry after a bottle !?

I put her on me for a bit.. but doenst work, she ends up getting miserable, and just screams.. :wall2:

Try upping it! I know it sounds like alot but if she's hungry she'll drink it! Charley was on 5oz's from a month old but has only just started drinking 6oz's and he's almost 4 months!

Ok so during the night she is waking up for one feed, will take 6.. but during the day will only take 3.. goto sleep then wake up an hour later for the other 2 ! Grrrr

Laylas been on 6oz (shes now 10 wks) since she was 6weeks, lol n shes just started to not wait 4 hrs until her next bottle so i dont kno if to try hungry baby or not, i dont really want to up her ounces just yet, but u think we will be weaning at 4 months at this rate! Lol xxx

Alex has either 5 or 6 ozs depending how long it has been between feeds but he seems to be eating ever y2.5 hours in the day but he doesnt have any during the night so I think it balances out

I would up the amout. Some babies need it. I tried using Aptamil Hungry baby but it made my boy consterpated. However, I know plenty of people who used it for a night feed to help them during the night and they were ok. Think it was just my boy who has block issues. Takes after his mom. Anyway, if you do try it perhaps also giving cool bolied water to make sure she keeps flowing ok. Any consterpation issues then go to your docs as they can give you some good stuff for it.

Try upping the amout first.

Am up to 6oz roughly a feeed. Sometimes she is still taking less, but i always make that for her.. and still theres times where she would carry on if there was more!

Im going to try aptamil AR, we cant get hu ngry baby here, but AR helps reflux, and while shes no where near as bad with formula, she is still throwing up :(

When morgans refux was uncontrolled he used to over feed then throw up :( the only thing we found that worked was using colief drops which are really expensive! For Morgan it was a lactose intollerance, perhaps you could try lactose free formula (although you did good getting aptimil comfort, its reduced lactose)

Ive changed to cow &gate n health visitor advised last week to up to 7 oz, shes much happier now on c&g than aptamil n poops better n less painfully too :-)
