Hi all,

I have begun taking folic acid tablets, and am booked in with my local GP to get my coil removed on the 18th April - Eek!

Wishing us all lots of sticky baby dust, and lots of luck for safe, healthy pregnancies in the near future!

 Xx

Congratulations and good luck on your journey

Congrats. Exciting times ahead - hope you're not hanging around here for too long. :)

Congrats....good luck on your journey. I had my coil out a year Feb just gone but didn't start TTC straight away.

Hope you have a swifter journey to your BFP. I'm still here and moving onto cycle #11.

Sending baby dust your way x

Yay! I got a call from nurse today , booked in to get coil removed Monday she said to abstain from sex until then as not had it for a few days already but why if I want to get pregnant ?

Hi Hanzon. I'm no expert but I'd think it's probably to limit your risk of infection... if you bleed during the procedure and there's semen around, you could get an infection. They told me not to have sex 48hrs before my smear test for the same reason.

How odd, I didn't get told that at all with either my smear or coil removal which I had done at the same time!

I definitely did not abstain!

Hi everyone, apologies as I did not get any notifications regarding replies!

Good luck to everybody.

I have not been told to abstain either before or after, so I may look into this...

Xx

Sorry I don't know anything about the coil but good luck for TTC and sending lots of baby dust your way! :)

All went well at my appointment today. Didn't feel a thing! Good luck to everybody xx
