I know you can take soothers for a sore throat. The pharmacist said that you can take a small amount of paracetemol if desperate (like one tablet) but go to the pharmacist as they know more that the docs!!

what ever you do dont get antibiotics (even mild ones) i took them for a chest infection when i was preggers with Jasper and he has really weak tooth enamel and will need caps when he is older :( So gutted and all because i didnt ride with the chesty cough :(

just soo stuffed up and my chest feels all clogged!

might head to the chemist shortly to see what they say!

YOu cant take any kind of decongestant. Paracetemol would be fine. My doctor prescribed me a really mild nasal spray because i got so blocked up i went deaf! But couldnt give me much else. Basically there are hardly any hard core medicines you can take safely during pregnancy, which sucks! But I would rather just suffer than risk the baby x

hiya starfish...i totally agree...

what about vicks vapo-rub??? is that ok???

I'm butting in from Tri3 because i'm all bunged up too! I've caught it from one of my childminded kiddies! I'm just suffering in silence at the moment! It's so horrible not being able to take anything because I usually take those beechams cold and flu tablets which seem to work!

Hope you feel better soon! x

woo hoo....

at least its somthing!!

Fab, yes I've been using a tigerbalm which is quite like the vapo rub
