Anyone use hair extensions?

Having 2 babies quite close together has really messed my hair up... it so thin!

I want to get some clip in extensions, not for length just for thickness when I go for nights out.

There are loads on ebay, but I have no idea what I'm looking for, has anyone ever tried them?

I used to wear them- I loved them.

You have to work out how to put them in so the clips don't show but I worked it out pretty quick

I got mine for about £40 (with clips ready sewn in) from a hairdresser wholesaler

One thing thugh, after watching a programme about it the other day PLEASE pay a little extra for 'ethical' ones

I used to wear them - my hair is pretty long anyway naturally, but I liked having a few extra inches when on a night out. (you can see the slight difference in hair length hair where the colour tone was different)

DO NOT get the glue to put them in yourself!! It's such a pain...conditioner weakens the glue, making washing your hair difficult, if someone pulls on it...it bloody hurts! And clumps of glue come out in your hair

Clip in ones are so much more managable. If you can find affordable real hair ones, they are usually easier to manage when it comes to brushing and washing.

I used to get them in a big long sheet and cut them myself and add the clips (tis easy, promise) which meant I could add sections the right size for me where needed.

One's that have been 'ethically sourced' will state so on the packet. Some women sacrifice their hair for religion or because it's their livilihood but some are made from the strands found in binbags on old brushes or from women who are forced to shave their head.

The only ones I have ever used are those long strands of clip on coloured hair, not quite the same as what you're asking. Even those were pretty effective though

Yeah I wouldn't mind a few bright red ones too as I used to have my hair highlighted with blond and red streaks.

God after watching this programme the other day i dnt htink i could ever use real hair ones again, like Jade said theyre all from people who are sent to jail, they shave off their hair and sell it, or russian morgues, and allsorts, but i think yours look ok girls, just tried to find a link to the programme http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00cr3hj.
