Thank god it is! It says on the bottle that it's safe during pregnancy..although I am no doctor so if you're worried check with your midwife or GP first

I haven't started on the Gaviscon YET (the bottle has called me a few times) and I did wonder about it's safety in Tri1 as all the info I generally found was more related to Tri 2 and 3....but most things I read on the Internet did say 'safe to use in pregnancy'.....maybe the Pharmacist would be able to give you a yes or no answer?

When I was pregnant with my DD I carried the bottle around like a baby, and drunk it straight from the bottle....I was so careful on dosings until I went in to hospital and the midwives were dishing out about 4 times the stated dose!!!

I've just been prescribed a 500ml bottle of Gaviscon from my doctor to help with this (Aniseed flavour, ew!) I hate heartburn, it feels like i'm having a mini heart attack.

I've just come back from the doctor now who prescribed the biggest bottle for me, she says I'm still in tri 1 and it's fine to take, obviously only the recommended dosage.

Lol I do exactly the same! Got the doc to prescribe me gaviscon advanced today! It's fab! Was up at 1am other night drinking milk and gaviscon lol

I love the Aniseed flavour! I have mint at home and it's just not right with Gaviscon texture especially with morning sickness (that lasts all day lol)
