Anyone striking on the 24th?

Im not sure if this strike is nationwide or if the English had theirs first but our local authorities are striking on the 24th Sept (in scotland).
Anyone else affected by this or have been on strike in England.

We are striking for fair pay. Council pay is dross.

I work for the local council here (England) and we were on strike a couple of months ago. Not heard anything so don't think we're striking again.

Hope we get a decent offer this time...

This is the second one and i think there will be a few more to come before anything is decided either way. Its pretty bad, we havent had our pay increase but its just the particular band/grade that we happen to be on. As if things arent bad enough. i

Just before I went on mat leave we were having the same probs - no pay rise for the foreseeable future. Its crap esp with the rise in the cost of living.

I work closely with the TRA and we have not heard about any upcoming strikes in Wales....

We had a strike in our area a couple of months ago and it was awful, no garbage collected ot anything!!!
