I've been told diabetic sweets and icecream and that are actualy worse for you! Can't remember why!

What about those fruity stick things, you kbow like for packed lunches? Cos it's only natural sugars in them!

Hmmm my new diet is so hard to follow, I have to be proper careful!! At least I'm allowed my diet coke :)

boots do a good range of diabetic chocolate and stuff but I seem to remember it not being being cheap!

my dad is diabetic and he goes to places that sell all the old fashioned sweets because they always have sugar free versions which tatse the same too me!

also fruitella do Sugar free versions too!

Hope this helps :)

Hey Vix when david was diagnosed with Diabetes I searched for some sweet treats for him too and when we spoke to the Dr he told us not to waste our money on specialist diabetic stuff as its supposedly not good for you due to the substitue stuff they put in it!

Maybe seek a natural sugar fix from other stuff if possible...fruit winders I think are ok and have natural sugars in them ...xxx

Thorntons do sweets and chocolate I always get them for my OH xx

Most chemists round here seem to stock them but like someone else said they are no good for you! Packed full of things like aspartame instead of sugar which is a real artificial food nasty - see here!

http://www.sweetpoison.com/aspartame-side-effects.html

hope that works - stupid iPod won't copy the whole link!

There's also a program on bbc2 on artificial sweeteners tonight which might be worth a watch

I'd you're craving sugar def go for fruit - I love nothing more than settling down and chomping on a bowl of strawberries and blueberries full of sugar lol!
