Hello all.

I stopped the pill in late spring and have been ttc since then. I've got fingers crossed for testing on the 15th July.

On Monday I had a sore head and went to bed early. When I woke up on Tuesday I had no energy, a sore head and was sore all over. Stayed on sofa most of the day. When I woke up on Wednesday I had a rash all over abdomen and upper thighs. Looks like a viral rash. Thought I was better anyway and totally overdid it on Wednesday and had a really high temperature that night. Reluctantly took one paracetamol. Woke up today feeling rotten again.

I was worried that a viral infection might harm any wee baby that might be in there. Anybody got any advice please?

I know this mya be silly but you haven't change dyou washing power by any chance ~ More thinking along the lines of the rash you have.

Maybe the heat has caused this, I have never experienced this sorry :(

Maybe get the rash checked out by your GP!

No, washing powder is fine! It's definitely not an allergic rash. I've seen enough viral infection rashes in toddlers to know one when I see one.

I feel that, if I go to the doctor he'll just say something really non-committal like, "It's a viral infection. Go home, take paracetamol, I'm sure you'll be fine in a few days. May or may not affect pregnancy."

Just wondered if anyone had anything like this before.

Just to be on the safe side i'd go and see your GP. viral infections can be more serious than some bacterial infections. especially because you have a high temperature...dont meaan to be a fuddy duddy but they can cause all sorts of long term damage to your major organs especially your heart!!! and meningitis can be both viral and bacterial!!! i'm sure its just something none specific but a visit to your gp wont take you too long!!
Hope your feeling better soon. :D
