My parents bought me the Silver Cross 3D travel system which was amazing but Aimee is 5 months old and I am finding it to be too bulky whenever I go on the bus. It doesn't help that yesterday when I went to visit my parents the bus driver WATCHED me struggle to get the pram on the bus and just sighed at me. I struggled to get the pram off the bus as well and again all he did was sigh so I am looking into getting a stroller.

I am interested in the Maclaren Quest, the reviews on the mothercare site are good but I was wondering if anyone had one on here and if you do what you think of it?

Also is it good for folding down and putting up one handed? There is no way I could fold the Silver Cross 3D pram down while holding Aimee in one arm, I can barely do it when I have both hands free!

I have it and I LOVE it! It is my third pram/pushchair  and the others have been put away since I got this one. It is lightweight, easy to fold/unfold, nice and small when folded and Ella is so comfy in it. It reclines enough for her to sleep but also sits really upright so she can see everything that is going on around her.

It folds really easily one handed, as you just kick one bit up, another bit down and push it forwards, it then locks as you push it right down and has a carry handle on one side. Opening it is slightly trickier as you have to unlock it, kind of pull the front out and then hold the handles while pushing the middle down with your foot. I have never tried to do it one handed though so am not sure about that. I wll give it a go later and let you know!

I forgot it was the in the other room and I have just tried it one handed and you can do it quite easily after you have got the lock off - that was a bit tricky!

We have it as a second buggy and public transport pram. We got it when Rudy was 3 months and we use it just as much as the Bugaboo.

As we live on the third floor and no lift I regularly carry this, a change bag and Rudy down the stairs and put it up one handed which is not problem. Once it is unlocked (like magic monkey explained) you can just hold a handle and lift and once it gets to a certain position you can push down with you foot that locks the buggy into position.

Luckily all London buses have space for 2 buggys but last week a bus came along that already had two buggys on so I had to pick up Rudy who was asleep and then fold it and carry it on the bus. This was no problem as it folds so easily and is very light to carry. It also has two carry handles, one that you can carry by hand and one that goes over your shoulder, which is great when your carrying LO.

What I also like about it is that it will see LOs until they are out of buggy age and it takes up hardly any space as it folds quite small.

What lets it down in my opinion is the fact that when the buggy is reclined you can't get into the bag underneath. This isn't too much of a problem though as you can just hang bags on the handles, just make sure you don't take the baby out of the buggy before taking the bags off as it will tip.

So overall I think this is a great buggy that will see you through a good few years and you will probably use with the next baby if there is ging to be one. Comfy for LO and does the job just as it should do.

p.s If you want a footmuff try out TK Maxx, I had a plain black one for £12 which is pretty cheap for a footmuff. I did find that using blankets would fall off when pushig the buggy.

I have it and i like it.. it's light easy to fold and doesn't take up much space. My only complaint is the brakes i find them hard to put on. I def would recommend tho.

I ordered one from mothercare yesterday :D I saw the red one on sale for £90 in the store and loved the pushchair but not the colour so have ordered the mod pink/brown one for £110 with free postage. Hoping it'll come tomorrow :D I was gonna get the silvercross pop but when I saw it in store I wasn't so keen and the brakes stick out to far for me to bump down steps.

I am going for the mod pink/brown one, my dad wants me to get the charcoal one but seeing it instore it looked sooo boyish and dull. I want one with some colour and some pink!

I was considering the Silver Cross Pop as well but I read the reviews online about the brake clicking on when going down stairs and when I saw it in Mothercare it looked just as bulky as the Silver Cross 3D travel system!

You gotta have the pinky one if you've got a girl :D It's soo lush, can't log onto the mothercare site to see if mine has been posted yet! I can't wait to get it though, I'm so fed up of lugging the huge pushchair around when I have to walk to take my son to pre school. My hubby weren't too happy on the price but it's my last baby and this pushchair will have to last for a few years so I'm happy :D

I got the Quest off ebay as a pushchair for going on holiday (pretty sure the plan would have crashed if we'd tried to get the travel system on!). I really like it, great for buses. Only things I don't like are the basket underneath as it's hard to get stuff in, and the brakes, but I don't really let go of it if it can roll off...
