Hey mummies to be!

Just wondering if anyone else has had / experiencing the same as me. Last AF 26th September, same day copper coil was taken out (had that for 2 & half years) & it didn’t seem to affect AF at all & it finished 30th September. DTD almost everyday since & ive been having some serious cramping for about a week. I think I ovulate pretty much after I finish AF as I’m SUPER horny straight after & I done a couple OKP at CD6 & CD7 which I’m sure we’re positive & as the days have gone on they are now negative. I’m never usually one to get menstral cramps at all so this is odd for me. I started to get my hopes up thinking it was ovulation / pregnancy related but they thought it could just be my body getting used to not having the coil...

Anyone else experienced similar either now or in the past?

Hi Linnett,
I did took off my copper coil in may and the couple of months after it I experienced different symptoms. Now my cycle is shorter than it is been when I had the coil, more intense the first couple of days and then lighter. I do think the coil affected my cycle as I can see a different pattern in cycle and symptoms now that it isn't in.

Hi linnet, I was getting constant cramps when I had my copper coil taken out, but I did also have my smear at the same time too (yep that was a fun day!), I think I was a lot more crampy the next two cycles, on and off throughout my cycle not just when I on, I was getting a bit worried and was going to go the doctor but then it settled down, I don’t think it altered my cycle length too much, maybe by a few days or so x

Thanks ladies, appreciate your replies. I was hoping I’d have it out & all would go back to normal ASAP as I’ve never been effected by any previous burst control but maybe not! Woke up this morning with more cramps! Very low down, almost like a stabbing sensation! This is so strange to me as I never really had pains like this!

Might be worth seeing your GP just in case.
