Morning girls

Anyone else still feeling shattered? I am coming up 16 weeks and still finding it very hard to cope with work etc. I went out to the cinema last night which was my first night out for ages and I am totally exhausted today. I have a 1.5 hour commute to work each way and its really starting to take its toll. (the london underground is a nightmare!)

I feel so awful every night when my hubbie picks me up from the station he says how are you and I usually burst into tears and start moaning about how crap I feel etc. I never expected pregnancy to be this hard. However, dont get me wrong I am overjoyed that we are expecting our first baby just finding it hard to cope with the feelings, sickness etc.

When did you all start to feel better?

Oh hun...I still have bad days even now. This morning I was so knackered when I woke up and I feel like shite today... some days are better than others.

Hope you feel better soon xx

anything involving travel in london is likely to make you want to cry at the best of times!!!!!!

Im still finding it hard to cope with a long day (but getting better) but lots of times i still feel so exhausted i could cry

hope you start feeling better soon!

OMG yes. I've just been to Matalan - was only out for about 45 mins and I need to go to bed! LOL

Same here, still feel tired all the time and still burst into tears when im over tired.

Get as much rest as you can

thanks for your replies girls, I think i am just having one of those days. I will try and get an early night tonight. I hope you are all well today.

Springbaby, when are you planning to go on maternity leave?

I'm a bit more fortunate than you, in that I no longer have to take the underground in to work, as we moved out to Hertfordshire three years ago, but I still have to get an overline train in every day. This morning it was stifling hot and absolutely packed, just like rush hour on the underground!!

My bubs is due on 28th Jan, and now I'm thinking of leaving at Christmas. I was gonna come back for a week or so after Christmas, but I don't think I'll be able to stand that.

i am always tired... i work long hrs.. and am up at 4:30am.... don't get homoe til 6:30pm.... i don't think i can handle it for much longer... by midday i am knackered..... and when i get a lie in at weekends... i'm still tired no matter how long i've slept in :-( i'm debating whether to start materity leave earlier than 35 week.ss

I am exhausted but often can't sleep at night despite this :(

My maternity leave starts at 32w which was earlier than I had planned as boss was being an ar@e but now it can't come soon enough :D

Well I dont think I will be going off on maternity until 36 weeks only 20 to go :rotfl:

It really is tough for all us mums to be and travelling does not help! I have to go on the overground and the underground 1.5 hrs each way in total - its a nightmare. However, I am starting to show and people are starting to give me a seat which I gracefully take as I am usually feeling so awful.

Roll on the weekend so I can have a lye in!

i can't sleep much keep getting woken up with cramps in my legs

The cramp is evil

I get it too and need to get out of bed quick and try and straighten legs and then I am fully awake again.

That and heartburn

Yes I am zonked!!! Especially with an 18 month old running around, where is this 2nd trimester energy???? I'm needing it!lol! Hope you feel better soon

I am knackered all the time too. I'm finding work a real struggle at the moment and then having to come home and cook tea etc it's really draining me.
I saw my midwife yesterday who told me i should take sometime off work because i have low blood pressure, but i've only recently started my job and daren't take any more time off as i have already had a week off with a virus.

On the plus side tomorrow is a training day at work and i've got the day off so i can get some extra

as far as maternity leave goes, im really fortunate ...(well apart from the fact i dont get maternity leave or pay as im technically self employed lol) but due to our intensive workload the company closes down for 7 weeks at the end of the year. So I have 6 more weeks to go then 7 weeks off. After that there's no point going back as i wouldnt be able to work the whole of the first round next year...so its maternity leave from 20 weeks for me!!!!

I did a 15 hour day on tuesday (13 hours and 2 hours break) thanks to seriously bad traffic and a 245 nile round trip, but dragged myself out of bed for an 'important' meeting starting at 8.30 the next morning. When i got into the work, the guy who was having the meeting with me casualy said 'oh, it was cancelled yesterday. Sorry, I forgot to tell you'.

I cried then!

And went home for another 3 hours!

Tired is something I fully understand!

Charliebeth you poor thing, I can completely sympathise with you, I think work colleagues forget how difficult it is for pregnant ladies and dont give us much consideration. My boss has been out all day doing personal stuff and has just got back to the office and is like can you do this for me do that for me before you go and I am like huh I have been here all bloody day and have had loads of time to do stuff but no!

Its so frustrating I want to tell him that I have to go home.

Hope to go soon!!

I feel knackered in the evenings and fall asleep about 8.30! I'm then awake at 5ish. I havent gone out much in the evenings at all as work is flaking me out totally. I'm told I should start to feel better around 14 weeks - nearly there!

I am knackered all the time :bored:

Really looking forward to half term because the school run is killing me at the mo because I am not sleeping on a night because my back is so sore and getting up at 6:45 to get Jamie ready and then the 2 mile walk there and back twice a day is doing me no favours.

I remember when I was pg with Jamie, when I was tired I could sleep but having the 2nd one you have the 1st to look after still. Hoping I get an energy surge soon, if it wasn't for my back things wouldn't be so bad.
