Anyone else have this odd pain?

I'm hoping that this is something very common and turns out to be indigestion or something but I have to ask as dh and I have no clue...It's really hard to explain too so please bear with me!

Its a sharp pain that I get on my chest at the bottom of my rib cage on the right hand side. It usually happens at the end of the day when I'm on my way home from work. Doesn't seem to be related to food or drink intake. Its a really bizarre pain that makes me want to cry cos it seems relentless at the time. When I touch it it feels bruised but there's nothing visible on the outside and it comes and goes. It doesn't feel like its on the inside which is why it's so strange. My dh played doctors yesterday and tried to examine the area and see if there was anything underneath, he felt bone so I'm assuming its my rib cage? I wish I'd paid more attention in biology! Does anyone have any clue what this could be or can anyone direct me to a good website that may be able to help?

yes! i get this and its on my right side too! it bloody hurts! i went to a shopping mall a couple of weeks back and had it for about 2 and a half hours non stop! it was awful!

i usually get it at the end of the day at work too from standing for so long.

i think ive distinguished what it feels like, it feels like a constant stitch right on my ribs.

yes i get this too!! only at the end of the day and youre right missmonroe...its like a stitch! especially bad when walking for a while

yay, I'm so glad I'm not the only one who gets this- although I am sorry you ladies are suffering too! I'm not sure if I would describe it as a stich though, will have to wait until later to re-assess it!
I had a little google search earlier and it seems that it could be due to the organs getting squished up making room for baby.

I get it and another pain in my rib cage that radiates and is very hard to explain. Our ribs are spreading a bit to make room. Ouch!

I get an odd sharp pain which feels a bit like a strain high up just in the middle of my chest, under my boobs... maybe similar? I can't decide whether to see the doc about it or not. MW said it was nowhere near baby so not to worry.

It could be as baby grows and your uterus pushes upwards, your ribcage is put under new pressure, which can cause uncomfortableness and sometimes pain I do hope it eases for you, just be careful if you feel breathless at all, stop and sit down, take care of yourself

Yehhh I get this too. It REALLY hurts I just put it down to baby moving.

I was just about to say that! I'm feeling uncomfortable too and when I eat it's like my stomach is up by my ribs!

I think it must be something to do with our organs being all squishy and squashed.

Or, like you said, indigestion!? xx
