We got our rescue cat about a year ago. Took him ages to build his confidence. Now that the baby is here he seems to be fighting for attention so I spend most of my time either dealing with the baby or playing and cuddling the cat out of guilt.

He seems to be ok with the baby and even comes in the room when he is crying. However his fur seems to be shedding more. Like it does in the summer. Yesterday he started scratching his head till it blead. Poor baby. Anyway, I am hoping it is that he may have fleas rather than him being stressed. Fingers crossed. Actually he seems to have lost weight (which he needed to do). I am hoping it is because we put him on diet food.

I tried to put that calming pet spray on his blanket but then he wouldn't sit on it again. Our house is on 3 floors so he can get away if he wants. Trouble is he doesn't like going outside so can't get away.

Dread to think about when the boy starts to walk.

I have 3 cats and they've only now started spending time around lo and she's 15 weeks old! they make you feel so guilty don't they? xx

my dog fights for attention especially if people come over. I've found that they do tend to give my dog attention and greet her first before they do to us and H - it think its slowly working!! We also try to have just tink time!! We still play with her and make a fuss when H is in bed or settled in his chair/ playmat and oh still has his bedtime cuddle with ehr before we go to bed!!

i have 2 dogs, one a collie cross labrador who is amazing with the baby and has really taken well to her, as she is protective and loves her! but my jack russell is a pain in the arse. shes 15 years old, blind and deaf but she somehow manages to still jump on my lap when ive got the baby, curls up on the changing mat when i get it out to change Sofia, its a nightmare. shes so old i cant believe she can even aim to get on my nerves! drives me mad! x

I rescued my cat and he has become a right attention whore lol. I'm barely at home atm and the cat can't spend too long outside he's a scardy cat when i am home all he does is cry at me. I buy him ham to bribe his affection. xXx

My dog is driving me mad but I think I'm been a bit over cautious. He's a 3 yr old staffie and really boisterous,he's really good with the other kids but he doesn't know his own strength and I'm so scared he'l hurt kieron. I'm tryin my best to give him attention but tbh I spend most of the day feeding xx
