Anyone applied for housing benefit with a child?

I'm applying friday by going to my library and foot the governments new golden ticket thing. I have everything I need however I only have a short birth certificate for my child not a long 1! Has anyone applied for housing benefit and had to show the birth certificate for the child? Will the short 1 be accepted?xxx
