Hi Ladies

Just wondering if anyone is a heomphilia carrier? Prob a long shot. This is my 1st baby so I have some questions if any of you have the answer......

XxX

If no-one else answers, my SIL is, they have a girl and a boy - so I might be able to help. Xxx

On my iPhone - so cant see tickers :(

I'm an actual haemophiliac, have factor 8 and 12,
Anything I can help with? X

Im just trying to find out from real mums what labour is actual like as we cant have any assistance with labour. Im quite worried I may have to have a section. I have a boy on the way so as a carrier there's the possibility of him having haemophilia. Is this your 1st pregnancy?

This is my second pregnancy, and my first pregnancy was ten years ago, and I had to have her in a specialist hospital guys in London, I had to stay there within the nurses quarters for a week before and was ment to be induced but ended up going into labour naturally, I had to have plasma and a blood transfusion while I was in labour,
This pregnancy I've been told I can stay in my local hospital but I have to have a lot of planning and have to have frozen plasma and blood awaiting me and also have a special dr waiting incase needed,
I had my daughter tested for heamiphillia at 3 but the test was inconclusive so she's gonna get tested again in 2 Years as at the moment she shows no signs of having it,
But my mum and my grandad both had it, x

And did you have you baby on your own? I just dont want then to just say they will c section to prevent any difficulties. I really dont want a c section but obviously if it came to it i want him here healthy and safe.

No, they said they wanted to avoid that at all costs unless an emergency, they saying that this time too, as there's more risk of bleeding with a major op.
I had no problems after my daughter and to be honest they all seemed a bit disappointed like they went to all the trouble to get me to have her in London and be prepared for me bleeding bad and nothing happened at all,
Hoping I have same luck this time xx

Heres hoping you have the same luck with your twinnies....what a gift to be given to have twins.

My SIL had two Vbacs. With the girl (1st) dr said he'd send her to specialists in Glasgow if scan showed boy. But by time she had boy 2yrs later a younger doc was willing to deliver him no probs.

On my iPhone - so cant see tickers :(
