Our Oven is electric and hob is gas. Our oven takes AGES to cook anything- I'm not exaggerating- you have to preheat it for about an hour and then it still takes an hour to properly cook oven chips 
I have just got our electric bill through- £113!
I know its mainly because of having the oven on for so long to preheat and it's really pissing me off now. I am not shelling out for a new oven when the one in there is about 15 years old and crap- would my landlord be responsible for it?
It took him 5 months to plumb in a toilet after ours wouldn't flush so I wont hold my breath on geting one before Xmas....

we still have stuff that was asked our landlord to repair at least a year ago. Good luck with that hun!
