The past 2 nights Finn has started screaming in the evenings when u try and breast feed him. And when I say screaming I mean properly screaming so that he is bright red and has no voice.

I have noticed he has been feeding more during the day over the last 2 days so I wonder if maybe I don't have enough milk? He latches on but gets angry very quickly as it cones out slower in the evenings and it's like it's not enough for him.

He got himself so worked up tonight that I've had to give him 3 ounces of formula which I know can cause issues with my supply but I had no choice as he was absoluteky inconsolable.

I just don't know what to do. I don't want to give him formula (I already give him one bottle at 11pm) and I think if I give him too much formula I won't produce enough.

He's 5 weeks and normally feeds fine but has been cluster feeding in the evenings for weeks now.

Anyone got any advice on what I can do? I feel hopeless. I just want to be able to breast feed him but if he won't take it I can't :( x

You could be hitting the 6 week growth spurt? I suggest you call a bf advisor tho. Tyler used to be a lot fussier and more challenging in the evening. He'd bob on and off and get really frustrated.

sounds very familiar, harry used to be like this in the evenings too, not sure what to suggest, how about expressing to increase your supply or trying fenugreek? i just kept going and he seemed to stop so prob a growth spurt.

Thanks. He doesn't seem as bad tonight so he may have just been having a hungry couple of days! Fingers crossed!! xx

Ralph does the same thing starts around 5pm and he will not take breast at all and starts crying and fussing on and off.
