Hi ladies, I'm travelling to Greece in a couple of weeks (booked before I knew I was pregnant). I saw my midwife and asked her if she had any extra advice I should be following - her very useful comment was to stay off the ouzo! So I thought if you lovely ladies could think of anything? I thought I read something about avoiding ice cream abroad as it was made with sheeps milk, but the midwife says it's OK, I'm not sure, what about ice creams/lollies that are pre-packed like magnums, surely they would be OK? Thanks for your help x

I'm sure the likes of magnum lollies etc will be fine. Iv heard that your skin can be a bit more sensitive in pregnancy, so maybe wear a higher factor, and cover up. Stay nice and hydrated. And watch what food your eating... And enjoy yourself. You might get extra tired in the heat, so afternoon naps may be needed :) xxx

Hi...

Lucky you heading off to Greece!! I love it there! I would just follow the same rules in pregnancy that you do over here, and take extra care to check that food is cooked properly etc. Also, you might want to avoid ice in drinks when abroad, as this can cause tummy bugs. Also you may want to wear flight socks, as your risk of DVT is higher in pregnancy, though the flight to Greece isnt that long.
Enjoy!!! xxx

I'm in Arizona right now visiting family (leaving on Saturday :() and I found that for the flight, getting up every once in a while and walking around helped and I did wear the flight socks. While here, I've been drinking lots of water and trying not to over do things like walking around loads. Listen to your body and rest when you need to. And lastly, enjoy the holiday!!! :)

defo flight socks if you can and get up and walk around x

Only advice I have is flight socks and drink lots of bottled water! And have a brilliant time :) xxxx

I got advised to fly with flight socks and also check with who your flying with as to whether a drs note is needed incase they won't let you fly. When I flew it was 26 wks you needed a note for and I was 26 wks when I flew back so got a note just incase but I never got questioned.

Im too going to Greece in just under 4 weeks, so excited! Thanx for the advice about the flight socks will defo get some, enjoy mrsbump xxx
