i got af on 23rd december, now af is back today!!!, only 13 days after it last came. ive been to my docs this morning, she said, the hormone tests thay did were normal, and its just one of those things and many women have af like that.( i didnt find her helpful), i dont know what to ask for next, i told her we were ttc she said thats fine it will still happen even though thay arnt regular(sp). so do i just carry on ttc ?. any help would be gratful.

how long have you been ttc? If it's over a year you can usually push to be referred for tests. Other than that I don't know I'm afraid... sorry not much use but the doc sounds rather unhelpful!!

I had a period of time where my cylces went 21 days last year when they are normally 28 - 30 days. When I spoke to my Doc about he couldn't really explain it and I did push it as I wasn't ttc at the time. I think I had 3 cycles like it and now the seem to be back to the 28 day mark again.

I know it doesn't give you a direct answer, but hopefully it will reassure that they will more than likely go back to normal soon

Are your periods normaly regular and this one was different? The reason I'm asking is that my periods are usually regular, but about 3 times I've had periods or light bleeds after about 13/14 days after my AF. I didn't go to the Docs, but from looking on the internet there were a few reasons such as implantation bleeding, a sign that ovulation had occured or an infection, along with lots more reasons. What I would do if you do have regular cycles, is carry on TTC as normal and monitor your periods over the next month or 2. If they are still irregular then go to your docs and ask to get checked out.

If you are having irregular cycles then keep on at your docs to carry out tests, or put you on a regulating medicaion, as you are TTC and every month counts. I'm not too sure of all the info on irregular cycles and could be wrong, but there is a TTC with irregular cycles thread in the TTC section.
