Has any off you been on Antibiotics while pregnant?

My Husband forced me to ring the doctor yesturday as from Saturday night I started feeling ruff then as he put it on Sunday I started Barking not coughing in his eyes to the point it was making me throw up and im embarrassed to say it wet myself.

Doctor couldn't get me in not even on an emergency but I did get a phone call back and was given a prescription of Antibiotics, Cough Linctus and Paracetamol. Even though everything has been approved by the Doctor I'm still worried but I have started taking the course and I am seeing the midwife tomorrow regarding my blood pressure so I will go through everything with her.

I feel guilty as I was off work on holiday last week then I made it in yesturday to be sent home. Think I will be in work tomorrow but Im more worried that everything is fine with my little boy. Glad I had the scan last night and could see him moving at least.

I had 2 ear infections and a chest infection while I was pregnant and was put on anti-biotics for all of them. So long as your doc knows your pregnant they would have prescribed ones that are suitable for use in pregnancy. It's fine hun xx

Just as I reached what I though was 12weeks I was put on a course of anti-biotics and I had the worst throat ever!! (Well it felt that way) Turned out I only would have been 10/11weeks but everything is fine. As long as your doctor knows your pregnant then you will be fine to carry on taking them. x

I've had 2 course of anti-biotics so far and everything was fine. Doctor will prescribe only ones that are safe for pregnancy xx

I am on long term anti-bitoics as i have a low immune system anyway and i still have to take them as normal, there are anti-bitics which are safe in pregnancy.
during my last pregnancy i became ill and they thought i had meningitis (i didnt and all was fine in the end) but i ended up have a drip of anti-biotics to treat me just incase which they made sure were safe for me.

if your doctor has prescribed them then i'm sure you'll be ok!

I am on erythromycin but i know penicillin is ok to take aswell. i know more are safe but no clue how to spell them

Yeah I've had 3 lots of anti biotics for water infections throughout pregnancy and everything seems fine with LO . Leaving the infection untreated would do more harm than the antiobiotics xxx
