Hi All,

I've been getting a little paranoid about my baby's movements over the past couple of days as he's been moving a bit less than he was a few days ago. I've checked my notes from my 20 week scan and I've got an anterior placenta which I assume will limit the movements I feel. Is this correct? Has anyone else got this and when did you start to feel regular strong movements?

Ive got a anterior placenta to, but i cant feel baby move yet.. :( but i presume that beacuse the placenta is on the front wall of our uterus, that it could make baby's movements feel less as it could get in the way.. its just a guess.

I had an anterior placenta and didn't feel strong regular movements until i was about 28 weeks before then i just felt light movements here & there. i went to see the Midwife twice as i wasn't sure If baby was moving But both times she was fine! x

I've got an anterior placenta but I feel baby move all the time, quite strongly. I think it's because mine is low (which causes problems of it's own) so it's in the way of my cervix rather than the baby!!!

xx

I've got an anterior placenta to and only the last 2 weeks i have felt little tiny movements if i hadnt had my son previous id prob not even be sure if they were baby or wind haha.

My Mw says this is normal and ive jst to go every 2nd week and they are checking his heartbeat till i can confidently say he is moving on a regular basis.

I dnt feel my little guy moving much tbh. xx

I'm definitely going to talk to my MW about it when I see her next week. Baby has been moving quite a bit today so am happy all is ok but when he's a bit quiet like he was all weekend, am terrified something terrible has happened.

think every1 is the same hun so any time u r worried just call ur mw i do-rather be safe than sorry as they say... Sure all is fine tho xxx

My placenta is anterior too and although I first felt bubs fluttering from 16 weeks and now get proper kicks I sonetimes don't feel him for 2/3 days at all. Then other days he wriggles around like mad! I'm sure we'll all get proper movement at some point but just a little later than other people. x

I have a high anterior placenta and although I felt flutters from 16weeks it wasn't until about 25 weeks that I started to feel strong movements

I have an anterior placenta and i felt flutters from 18 weeks and real movement from 20 weeks, and hes been a strong kicker/elbower ever since. Like you said hun, if you are in anyway concerned talk to your midwife xxx
