I have this this time. And it hate it. So does my husband.

With my 1st baby I could feel every movement. At this stage I was even trying to guess whether it was feet or arms poking me.

This time I can go a whole day feeling nothing and panicking and getting doppler out.
Husband hasnt felt anything either. Freya used to always poke against his hand when he touched my belly.

I have been told they often move. WHEN? is it like 30wks or something this might happen or can it move anytime?

My placenta is/was anterior but I've felt movement since around 20 weeks. It was anterior at 19+6 scan but haven't been scanned or mentioned since xx

I had an anterior placenta and it was still anterior when I went for a 4d scan at 30 weeks, it was a pain as we couldn't get a proper look so had to go back at 31 weeks and it was still there but with a bit of jiggling got a decent pic. I didn't think it ever moved?! Xxx

Hope mine moves soon! Feel like I am missing some of the nicer parts of being pregnant x

It doesn't need to move in order to start to feel more movement. Mine remained high anterior for my whole pregnancy and although I didn't feel any real kicks until 22 weeks or so, he made up for it later on! I once had a 15-minute non-stop kicking spell when I was around 29 weeks!

I have an anterior and it hasn't moved and I was told that they usually stay there but can move.

I found I couldn't feel baby until 21weeks and peaked at 29 weeks, but now there's less space I barely feel 10 a day. Apparently bubs is really really active I just vent feel it so I'm back and forwards 3x weekly for traces.

I'm not actually bothered about kicking - I like feeling it Cosmo know baby is ok but don't see it as a binding experience or anything - but I'd like to feel it more so I know bubs is ok in there

I just loved feeling freya tickling me with her fingers, and the gentle pokes and massive kicks with knees and heels.

No chance of feeling subtle stuff unless the placenta moves, which to me is missing out.

Mine is front and centre and basically covering the baby so I have no chance

Aww lynds I had an anterior placenta last time and again this time so know no different! I started feeling proper distinguished movement after 20 week scan, but now I feel bubs non stop! You won't miss out, it will just happen a little later x

I've got an anterior placenta but I've felt baby since about 23 weeks. Currently 28 and have been kicked for the last few minutes non stop! X

Hi

I think you'll be fine :) - im anterior but trust me, i feel plenty now LOL

Hi Hun at least you know early on, I was told in general chat that I have an anterior high placenta. Like you I've just been getting Doppler out. I would feel the odd squirm and kick out the side but they were so rare I didn't feel it was something I could monitor. I'd recommend continuing as you are with Doppler as tedious as it is the reassurance Is well worth it. So I'm now 38+5 and it's not budged but the last week baby must have got stronger as baby kicks through placenta and makes it shudder when it moves :) so it's nice to finally get a taste of movements etc. Please feel reassured that you've been told you won't feel baby so much as it's a long time period and you don't want high blood pressure etc through worrying. Good luck xxx

I have been able to feel movements from quite early on, even my OH felt a strong kick at 16 weeks, now it feels like she never stops moving! The midwife has always had no trouble finding the heartbeat either, even at my first visit where I wasn't quite 16 weeks. At my 20 week scan they said the placenta was high, I had no idea that it was anterior until I was checking through my notes this weekend!
Pointless post really and I'm sorry I can't provide any reassurance but it just goes to show how different we can all be x

Hope mine moves soon! Feel like I am missing some of the nicer parts of being pregnant x

Me too, it was so nice last time now it's just weird. I get a few low down pokes but that's it. I feel quite sad about it. Hoping it shifts soon!! xx

PS I've not had it confirmed that it's anterior, I'm just guessing because of the dullness of movements etc compared to last time. Will find out at next scan xx
