Do you always have two lines? I've been doing tests for more than a week and I ALWAYS have a line on the test side. It varies in color, but it's always there. Is that normal??

hiya yes it is , for it to be positive, the test like has to be either same color as the control line or even darker. I am using digital OPKs so I don't have to try to understand the lines. I highly recommend the digital ones as it takes to stress out of trying to guess if it's positive.

Ya, I just don't get why there's always some line there! You're probably right, I should just get the digital ones. Thank you!

Hiya maximus is right there are always faint lines throughout cycle which get darker as you approach ovulation and then at their darkest (darker than control line) when you have your lh surge. I use both opks and cb digital but cb digital sometimes misses my lh surge as it happens late pm and gone by next morning hence doing both x

Ok thanks Melly! I’m sorry I’m posting so many questions all the time. It’s so confusing, I guess it’s worth it to splurge on the digis just to be sure xx

yes its very confusing, I have been doing OPK for months, I always see my LH surge and we do time it well but still no baby, I am thinking not to do any from now on if we still going to TTC as I think OPKs can add some stress and make BD more like chore and enjoyable, good luck x

Honeygirl...dont worry about asking too many questions! This is why we are all here x

I did splurge on the digitals at the start but didn't really find it worthwhile. I start using the OPKs on CD10 so that I can try and catch my surge and see them fade again. It's more just to confirm that we've covered the right days as we aim to dtd every other day over ovulation so the OPKs are more of a reassurance think. Also helps predict when my period will come as I find it less stressful to be prepared.

I usually start cd8 as my lh surge can happen from cd11/12. I too find it helps to pinpoint when i should dtd. They are also loads cheaper!

Ya they definitely are cheaper! My OPKs are still strong, but have yet to have a pos one. My cm has become thick and creamy, so it seems like I probably ovulated earlier in the week. I wonder why my LH stays high after ovulation...so many questions all the time, right?? I never thought conceiving would be this confusing!

I'm a CB digital advanced addict. I used strips for 18 months but now realised that sometimes I don't get a positive on them til after I ovulate (probably as I'm older). You get loads of warning with CB advanced and in my experience they are very accurate.
