Another formula question - SMA White

Hi all!!

I have a firmula question to but it's totally different to the other threads so thought I'd best start my own!!!

I was advised by my HV to put Arianna on to the SMA White - for hungrier babies as she had stated taking full 9pz bottles every 4hrs plus she I'd started weaning her on to real food.

She has been on the SMA White for a week and she still wants 9oz!! Plus since she has been on it she hasn't had nearly as much dirty nappies - I'm scared it's maybe "bunged her up" (sorry for tmi!)

Have any of you had any experiance with the SMA White?!?!?!

I changed to sma white from the gold with Jessica and I didnt notice her appitite change much tbh. Joe takes this as well and he doesnt do that many poos, maybe 1 or 2 a day.

Jess guzzled milk, she really loved it and she was weaned for a while before she cut back.

What kind of foods are you weaning her with.

my second daughter was taking 9oz at 3 months old so the hv told me to put her on sma white, but she was still having 9oz and screaming as if she was still hungry so the hv then told me to start her on a bit of baby rice in the mornings, so i did and after a week she seemed to settle down a bit.

How many dirty nappies are you getting Sarah? I am getting 1 every 24hrs at the moment. I am BF, but I think that is reasonably normal from what I have read (at least I hope it is).

I'm only getting one dirty nappy every 48hrs..... plenty wet ones tho.

I didn't think Sma white mad a huge difference to be honest.

I hated sma white,Alfie was on the gold and then he started to get hungrier and hungrier so i put him on the white and he just screamed all the time, and he passed a huge really solid poo and it was really bunging him up so i changed his food to aptamil stage 2 its really close to breast milk and he thrives off it, he poo's quite a bit on it tho, with almost every feed he lets a little bit out but i have had no trapped wind or constipation with him since

I was told about the aptimil today and was gonna come on and ask if anyone recommended it. Think I'll have a trip to Boots tomorrow!!

Arianna has defo been bunged up with the SMA White - she had a big solid poo today (sorry tmi) and was in agony with it - poor little toot

Alfie was like that sorry to be graphic but it was like three golf balls stuck together, which is when i changed over. It is very very good but than all babies prefer different milks but i havent heard of a baby not suiting the aptamil
